OMD Tulcea Municipality invites you to the first two guided tours of the new Tulcea Walking Tour season!
On Saturday, April 11 at 11:00 AM, and on Sunday, April 12 at 4:00 PM, join the “through the Greek neighborhood” tour, a new theme introduced in this year’s program. This new tour opens up an area of the city that, although often crossed, frequently goes unnoticed. It is a space with layers of history and a discreet but important imprint left by the Greek community in Tulcea’s development. You will discover buildings, symbols and details that, if looked at closely, tell stories about people, community and the city of old.
The meeting point is Casa Avramide; the tour lasts approximately two hours. Participation is free, but places are limited. Register by sending an email to adrian.archivess@gmail.com. Launched in 2024 and developed throughout 2025, the project has already gathered a growing community interested in the city’s stories: 12 guided tours and over 500 participants — locals and tourists who chose to see Tulcea from a different perspective.
In 2026, Tulcea Walking Tour continues with a more varied program. In addition to the well‑known route “Tulcea in Two Hours,” it continues exploring the city’s historic neighborhoods — Turkish and Lipovan — and this year introduces, for the first time, the old Greek neighborhood.
The Tulcea Walking Tour project is part of OMD Tulcea Municipality’s strategy to develop integrated tourist products under the “You and Tulcea” brand, aimed at transforming the city from a transit point to the Delta into a tourist destination in its own right.
